My stay at Hotel Donaldson was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we got there, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism by the attentive staff. They were amazing the whole stay, attending to every need even before we knew we needed it. We must call a wonderful shout out to Olivia, Logan and Andrew. If I had a business, I would want them a part of it. The rooms were meticulously clean, bright, with lots of counter and space to put suitcases and personal items and interesting, great artwork. They came complete with robes, slippers, night turn down service with beautiful music and lovely chocolates. There was complimentary coffee and pastry service delivered to the room in the morning as well as a lovely wine and cheese happy hour in the evening which was complimentary as well. We all agreed we would come back to Fargo just to stay at this hotel.

A work conference brought me here and it's my first time in Fargo. This is a lovely hotel! Seriously, it feels like a 4 star hotel at least. The little personal touches, like the coffee bar in the morning and wine and cheese bar in the afternoon just elevates it more than the automated reviews show. It's kind of kitchy (in the best way) because each room is decorated by a local artist and each room has a book about the room the artists decorated. Unique, local art gives it an upscale small town atmosphere. It's super close to a variety of restaurants and local tourist spots. I don't think the rooms are really bigger than name brand hotel rooms, but it feels bigger, like a bathroom, dressing area, living room, and bedroom. And the turn down service with chocolates, colorful pillows, beautiful wooden furniture, it all lends an air of opulence to a cute, quirky town I look forward to returning to.

Hands down the best hotel in the area. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Our bartender/server Sydney was very sweet too!

Amazing hotel. Second floor check in. Service was great. The room was beautifully decorated by a local artist. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Robes were provided We would definitely stay here again. Rooftop bar was closed due to rain and we missed the happy hour but went downstairs to the Blarney Stone pub and had mussels, wings, wine and beer.

Stay here! Simply the best! Great staff, large rooms, happy hour, turn down service, check out at 12pm and the history! Such a wonderful experience!

Incredible service and a spacious comfortable room. Hotel is right in the middle of downtown Fargo in walking distance to good restaurants. Plus the bar on the first floor was very lively the Friday night I was there.

Got a room when we were going to a concert at the dome. My cousin and her husband recommended this place since there wasn't any vacancy closer to where the event was. Very pleasantly surprised. Very nice, updated rooms. One of the most comfortable hotels I've ever stayed at. Right downtown. If I need to stay in Fargo again this will be my first call.

I booked this hotel because of the convenient downtown location. Little did I know what an absolute TREAT I was in for! My room is huge with the most comfortable bed ever AND a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom complete with its own separate TV. There’s turndown service, a wine and cheese hour and breakfast delivered to my room. Well done Fargo!
